Eagle News 12/17/2018

Only three days of school this week! Are you and your family ready to start the Christmas Break and all of the holiday festivities?
Are any of your students missing any of their warm winter clothing? We have a large amount of items (coats, jackets, gloves, hats, lunch boxes) in our Lost and Found. We don’t want anyone to be cold over the Holiday Break because their warm winter gear is in our Lost and Found. Please come by the school and see if any of your child’s missing clothing or lunch box is in our Lost and Found.
Both morning and afternoon kindergarten classes will attend the morning session today, so that our kindergartners can perform their Christmas Program for parents and friends at 10:45 am today in the gym.
And the Christmas Sing Parent Performance will be at 9:15 am on Wednesday, December 19 in the gym. Each grade level, including Preschool, will sing two songs.
Remember that Wednesday, December 19 will be the last day to turn in Box Tops. The winning class will be announced when we return to school in January and will receive some donuts.
You should all know by now what the Alpine Big Three are. We want all of our students and staff to be Respectful, Responsible and Ready each and every day at school. Our School Psychologist, Elise Teerlink, produced the attached video to help all of our students remember the importance of being ready at school. Check it out! The music might help you remember how our office staff dressed up for Halloween.

One of our parents, Janna Armatage, would like to start an after-school Art Class with students. If you are interested, see the attached flyer.
The things kindergartners say is the gift that keeps on giving. Last week, I was high fiving the afternoon kindergarten class as they walked down the hallway. One little boy excitedly said to me, “They grew back!” When I asked him what had grown back he said, “Your fingers!” I can assure you that I have never lost any of my fingers, but one little boy was convinced I had and was more than excited that I was high fiving him with all five fingers attached.
Have the happiest of holiday seasons with family and friends. We look forward to welcoming our students back to school January 3, 2019. Wow, 2019! Remember when the world was going to end as we entered the new millennium!
And as always, remember that it is a great day to be an Eagle!
