School Information

Congratulations to our students and teachers and parents!

I normally do not include these items in my weekly emails, but I probably should more often…I just want to congratulate our students and teachers on the fantastic work that has been done on our end of year RISE testing. Friday, we completed our testing and we are seeing fantastic results. Every grade, 3rd-6th, who take the RISE end of year tests, saw great improvement! Our overall school-wide English Language RISE scores improved from 67% last year to 71% proficiency this year. That is a 4% increase. Our math scores went from 65% proficiency last year to 78% proficiency this year, a 13% increase and our science scores went from 65% proficiency to 79% proficiency, a 14% increase. Overall, this represents an average proficiency above district averages of about 20%. I am very proud of all the hard work that our students, teachers, staff, and you as parents have shown during this school year. The things that you are doing at home, as well as the work our teachers and staff have put in are paying off for our students. Great job!

Student Hallway Pictures on Sale

We are excited to have the student pictures in the hallway on sale. We love having these pictures in the hallway and we use the proceeds from the sales to pay for the upcoming year’s pictures. The pictures are on sale for $8/ea. As we did last year, if your student is the only one in the pictures, you can pay and take the picture right then. If there are multiple students in the pictures, we will hold on to the picture and see if other students would like it as well so we can make copies of that picture. We will make sure the pictures are delivered to your student before the last day of school. Thank you for supporting this. We would love to continue this tradition but we do need your supporting in purchasing these photos!

Alpine Race Day

We are excited to have our 2nd annual Alpine Race Day. This is a fun opportunity for your students to participate in a couple of outdoor races. We will be having a 50 yard dash for our 1st thru 6th grades as well as a longer run for our 3rd thru 6th grades. I am including this in the email so you can remind your students to please wear appropriate shoes on this day because they will all be participating!

Summer Journal Program

Please see attached document for information regarding our school’s Summer Journal Program.  This is a great way for your child to keep up their writing skills over the summer, and there are some great prizes to be earned!  If you have any questions, contact Abbi Cox at [email protected].
