Student Pictures in the Hallway for Sale
Many of you have noticed in our main hallway, we have many pictures of students. This has been a great thing to liven up our school and it has given our students a little bit of ownership at Alpine Elementary. We are excited to allow parents to purchase these pictures if you would like. I have tried hard to get all the students in the school in at least one picture, but I know there are a few students that are not represented. I will do a better job next year at this. For this year, these pictures will be for sale for $8/ea. I do realize that some pictures have multiple students in them. Because of this, if your student is in a picture with other students, I will be able to make copies of these and have them before the last day of school. To purchase these, please come into the main office, beginning Tuesday, May 16th. You can pay with check, cash, or credit/debit card. If your student is in the pictures by themselves, you can take the picture then. If they are in a picture with other students, we would like to keep the picture on the wall and give the other students in the picture a chance to order that picture as well. These duplicate pictures will be distributed before the last day of school.
Alpine Race Day
We are excited to let you know of a new item we are doing for the end of the year. This is called, “Alpine Race Day”. This is a fun morning of outside races, with prizes for the winners. Following is a brief description of what is happening that day. We will be having each grade come out separately, beginning at 9:30 to do either one or two races. For grades 1-2, we will be having a short 50 yard dash. Boys will compete against boys and girls with girls. For grades 3-6, we will be having two races. One will be a 50 yard dash, and the other will be a longer, ½ mile (approximately) race. The long race will be one lap around the field. Again, boys compete with boys and girls with girls. We will be having all students participate in these races. Students will be given the option to run, jog, or walk but we will be asking everyone to try their best. Please make sure your students are dressed for this activity with appropriate footwear. Thanks for your support in this.
Summer Office Hours
Beginning in June, our summer office hours will be on Wednesday, from 8:00-12:00pm. If you need to come at a different time, please call and we can make an appoint to meet with you.
LP Boys Basketball Summer Basketball Camp
We would like to invite your children to the “Lone Peak Summer Basketball camp with Coach Rob Ross” for boys and girls from K-12th grade. Sign up more than one child for camp and use the code “Sibling10” to save $10 dollars! This promotion will run until May 29th. We want to express our gratitude for your support of Lone Peak Basketball and inform you that the camp will be held at Lone Peak High School from Tuesday May 30th to Friday June 2nd. Don’t miss out on this amazing opportunity for your children to improve their skills, make new friends, and start summer the right way!

From the Library
Thank you for your support of the library this school year!
Battle of the Books
Next year’s Battle of the Books reading lists are available in the library or on the library website. They are great books to read this summer and can be checked out for free on SORA, our digital library of ebooks and audiobooks. Your child just needs their student number (found on Skyward) and their last name to log into SORA.
From the SCC
Thanks to those who attended our last SCC meeting.
From the PTA
A big thanks to our fantastic PTA for a great year!
From the Lunchroom
A reminder to everyone to please make sure your student(s) have money in their lunch accounts. If you need help with this, you can simply log on to mypaymentsplus.com and register. In addition to making payments, you can view your student account balances, history, set up automatic payments and account balance alerts. Also, our kitchen can accept cash or checks for meal payments, but not credit cards. If you have any questions or may need help, please do not hesitate to contact the main office at 801-610-8700.
