SEP Conferences Coming Up

We are excited to have our first Parent/Teacher conferences of this year. Please log on to your Parent Skyward page to access the calendar to sign up. We encourage everyone to please come and get an update on how your student(s) are doing in school. This is a fantastic time for parents and teachers to connect and answer any questions you may have. I have attached a short tutorial on how to sign up if you are unfamiliar with this process. Please let us know if you need assistance with this process. If you do not sign up, a time will be assigned to you.

Five12 Foundation Opportunity

We are very fortunate to have the chance to access the Five12 foundation and all they do for the students across the state. This organization is based here in Alpine and is one of the best operations run by some of the best people I know. This foundation provides much needed food and assistance to students who may need a bit of extra help at times. At Alpine Elementary, many students have been given weekend meals. These are distributed on Friday afternoons as students are leaving for the weekend. It is a process that is discrete and allows students to take home a bit of extra food as needed. Please let me know if you would like to be included on this list or if you have friends or neighbors who could possibly benefit from this fantastic program. If you would like, you may take a look at their website by clicking here. Five12.org

Cornbelly Opportunity

Cornbelly’s is opening this weekend!  If your family is planning on going to Cornbelly’s any time this season, use ALPINEPTA as your promo code and you can get $3 off your admission to Cornbelly’s

Walk-to-School Wednesday
Walk-to-School Wednesday is now happening every Wednesday! We’d love any parent who wants to help to come to the school around 8:50 that morning and look for any 1 of 4 tables outside to help!

Alpine Elementary PTA Fundraiser & Fun Run
This Friday, your child will be bringing home a flyer with details around our annual Alpine Elementary PTA Fundraiser & Fun Run, taking place next week (Sept. 26 – 30). This fundraiser is crucial to supporting the many Alpine Elementary programs and activities that strive to strengthen school unity, promote health & wellness, encourage kindness & respect, and create a school-wide culture that learning is fun. This fundraiser will be in conjunction with the Fall Festival this year as well.  Note that the Fun Run itself will be on Sept. 30th at Creekside Park in the afternoon.

Reflections
Last week, the students had an assembly about the Reflections Art Program. Reflections is an incredible nation-wide program put on by the PTA that encourages children to be creative and involved in the arts. There is no fee to participate and there are several art categories. This year’s theme is “Show your voice…” and the submission deadline is in October.  Here is a link for information on how to create art for Reflections and what the rules are: Reflections Information for Parents | UtahPTA.org

A reminder to everyone to please make sure your student(s) have money in their lunch accounts. If you need help with this, you can simply log on to mypaymentsplus.com and register. In addition to making payments, you can view your student account balances, history, set up automatic payments and account balance alerts. Also, our kitchen can accept cash or checks for meal payments, but not credit cards. If you have any questions or may need help, please do not hesitate to contact the main office at 801-610-8700.
