School Information

Alpine Elementary Choir

The Alpine Eagles Choir will start having practices on Tuesdays starting September 12th. We will practice in the gym from 3:30- 4:30 pm. You can sign up on MySchoolFees and registration will close on Sept. 25th. The cost will be $30 which helps pay for music, t-shirts, buses, and treats. We’d love to have any 4-6th grader who enjoys singing Christmas music. We will be performing at The Assembly Hall in SLC, Festival of Trees, an assembly at school, and a parent concert. I try to have all the concerts done by the first week of Christmas because of the busy holiday season.

School Pictures Ordering Information

Please see the attached flyer for information regarding ordering your student’s school pictures.

From the Library

Battle of the Books

We hope your student will join us for another great year of reading and competing in America’s Battle of the Books. This is a free, voluntary reading program for students in grades 3-6 and is so much fun!  All students need to do is register and then start reading the books on their book list. Students who read three books by December are invited to join a team and attend a pizza party in the library. Students then work with their team and continue reading titles on their book list to prepare for the battles in March.

There are 20 books on each grade level list. Students do not have to read every book on the list, however, the more books each person on the team reads the better chance they have when answering questions about the books in a battle. The book lists are available on the library website. The school library has multiple copies of all the books. The books are also available for check out in ebook format on SORA at soraapp.com, our school’s online library.

Deadline to register is Friday, September 22nd!

PRE-ORDER YOUR LUAU MEAL!

Our Aloha Alpine: Family Fun Run & Luau is coming up on Friday, Sept. 22! The event will begin shortly after school, from 3:30-6:00pm. Now is the time to pre-order your plate lunch! The meals are catered by “Good Grindz” Hawaiian Cuisine. Each meal will come with both kalua pork and teriyaki chicken, rice, mac salad, and a drink. The cost is $10 per plate, or $40 per family (up to 6 people). The servings are adult sized portions. The deadline to pre-order your meals is Sunday, Sept. 17– so order today! You can order online at our store here: https://alpineelementary.memberhub.com/store?limit=21&live=true

At the event, the “Good Grindz” food truck will also be on site as an option for those who don’t pre-order. Kona Ice will also be on site for snow cones to purchase. All of these proceeds from these vendors will give a portion back to our Alpine PTA- so please support!

Look out for flyers coming home during the next couple of weeks to share more about this exciting new event! We will start with a family fun run the whole family can participate in together (or cheer on your students!), followed by Island-style games, activities, cake walk, all the food, and an evening performance.

If you are willing to help with this event (such as help on the run course, serve food, or help with games) PLEASE reach out to us at [email protected]
