School Information

The Reflections Art Program is back and your kids are pumped to participate!

Last year Alpine Elementary had more entries than any other school in the NATION! And we can do it again!

We visited classrooms this week and asked who will enter – nearly every hand went up. Our hope is that you can keep the excitement alive and encourage your children to participate (they will also need your help submitting their artwork online).

Important dates/mark your calendar:

Reflections Kickoff Assembly – September 18

Reflections Due Date – October 24

Lunch Party for participants – October 26

Awards Night/Art Showcase – November 14

We have prizes for every student that participates, prizes for classrooms with the highest participation, a party for all participants, and an art showcase/awards night for students and their families. (Prizes include Hale Theater tickets, Ballet West tickets, Shoot360 memberships, Gift Cards (restaurants, movie theaters, etc), Crumbl cookie cards, and lots more).

Entries need to be submitted electronically here: (this is also where instructions and rules are found).

From the Library

Battle of the Books

We hope your student will join us for another great year of reading and competing in America’s Battle of the Books. This is a free, voluntary reading program for students in grades 3-6 and is so much fun!  All students need to do is register and then start reading the books on their book list. Students who read three books by December are invited to join a team and attend a pizza party in the library. Students then work with their team and continue reading titles on their book list to prepare for the battles in March.

There are 20 books on each grade level list. Students do not have to read every book on the list, however, the more books each person on the team reads the better chance they have when answering questions about the books in a battle. The book lists are available on the library website. The school library has multiple copies of all the books. The books are also available for check out in ebook format on SORA at, our school’s online library.

Deadline to register is Friday, September 22nd!
