Educational Concerns Form

This form is to give you the opportunity to provide input for student placement and educational concerns for the upcoming school year. This form is available to you to indicate anything you would like to provide as we put classes together for the upcoming school year. As the form states, we will consider your input as one of the variables to help balance classes for the next school year.

I have attached this form to this email for your convenience. If you have input for us to consider, please fill the form out and return it to the main office by Monday, May 5th. We also have additional forms available in the office if you need one.

We want to make you aware that we have three of our employees retiring at the end of this year. Martha Hadlock, Mike Carter, and Paula Ruesch will all be leaving us at the end of the year! We are sad to see them go but we want to celebrate them on May 15th. More info and times will be coming soon so mark your calendars so you won’t forget!

Teacher & Staff Appreciation is happening THIS Week: April 28 – May 2

Each day this week, we encourage students to do the following:

Monday: Crazy Hair Day – We’re crazy about our teachers!

Tuesday: Handwritten Note – Bring your teacher a note

Wednesday: Treat or Snack – Bring your teacher their favorite treat or snack

Thursday: Flower – Bring your teacher a flower

Friday: Wear Your School T-shirt – We love Alpine!

“Scales & Eagle Tails” Reptile and Bird Show Family Night

Save the Date: Monday, May 12 from 6:00-7:00pm will be our “Scales & Eagle Tails” Reptile and Bird Show Family Night event. It is free for all students and their family members to attend. Light refreshments will be served.

We will be having our next SCC Meeting on Tuesday, May 13 at 9:30. Everyone is welcome to come and participate.

A reminder to everyone to please make sure your student(s) have money in their lunch accounts. If you need help with this, you can simply log on to linq Connect and register. In addition to making payments, you can view your student account balances, history, set up automatic payments and account balance alerts. Also, our kitchen can accept cash or checks for meal payments. Additionally, we cannot give change so all money given will be placed into your student’s account. If you have any questions or may need help, please do not hesitate to contact the main office at 801-610-8700.

Talent Show Auditions

We will be having talent show auditions April 22-24 during lunchtime. Please see Mrs. Orgill for the permission papers. You will only need to prepare 1-2 minutes of your talent to share for the auditions. For more information, please contact Mrs. Orgill. Additionally, you may submit a video for the audition if that makes more sense depending on your talent.

Kindergarten Registration is Happening Now!

We want to make you aware that we have started our Kindergarten Registration for the 2025-2026 year .This takes place online via our school website. You can click on this link http://alpine.alpineschools.org to access our website. You will need to upload a few items to complete your student’s registration. If you have any questions, please feel free to call our office at 801-610-8700.

1. Birth Certificate

2. Proof of residency-this can be a rental agreement, utility bill, etc. Something that has your name and address on it.

3. Proof of immunization-we know that you may not have these done yet, so if you do not have these completed yet, it is ok. You can get these to us later.

Also, if you know of any parents of kindergarteners that may not receive this email, please let them know as well.

Teacher & Staff Appreciation is NEXT Week: April 28 – May 2

Please plan and prepare for our Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week coming up the following week, April 28 – May 2. Attached is a flyer with our week’s theme and daily things the students are encouraged to do for their teacher or spirit days.

Volunteer Appreciation Brunch on Tuesday, May 6 at 9:30am at Creekside Park 

Parents, we want to thank you for all your volunteer work and involvement at the school! We have our annual Volunteer Appreciation Brunch on Tuesday, May 6 at 9:30am. We are planning to have it at Creekside Park. Please stay tuned if the weather turns, we will hold it at the school. Please RSVP HERE if you plan to come so we can plan for numbers.

SCC opening for next school year

This upcoming school year (2025-2026), our SCC has two openings that need to be filled. The process for becoming a SCC member begins now. If you are interested, please come into the office and pick up a form to fill out or I have also attached the candidate form on this email. You may either return the form to the office, in person, or scan and email the form back to me at [email protected]. The deadline to submit the form is Tuesday, April 29th.

This Friday is the deadline for ordering your yearbooks! Please see the attachment for the QR code to get you to the right place to order.
